Meet Gwenna

Gwenna Kadima (she/her) is an award-winning, Toronto-based BIPOC Career Activator and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Consultant empowering marginalized individuals to achieve their highest professional potential through targeted macro and micro-interventions.

Taking a “for us, by us” approach to her work, Gwenna catalyzes equality at the individual level as a BIPOC Career Activator offering seminars, workshops, coaching, and other culturally relevant career development services to BIPOC students and professionals. Her primary offering is the COR Model for Career Advancement™: a tactical, proprietary framework that inspires and equips students and professionals of colour with the strategies and tools needed to accelerate their careers.

Simultaneously, Gwenna addresses systemic workplace barriers as a DEI Consultant developing and executing intentional DEI strategies and programming. Her areas of expertise are sustainable Employee Resource Group (ERG) enablement and inclusive employee program design.

Meet Gwenna

Her practice is specialized in sustainable Employee Resource Group (ERG) enablement and inclusive employee experience design.

Prior to launching her independent practice, Gwenna was a Talent & Organization Consultant at Accenture, a Fortune 500 technology and professional services firm, partnering with clients to cultivate memorable and inclusive employee experiences enabled by innovative technologies. Here, Gwenna was the Founder and National Recruitment Lead of BOLD, Accenture Canada’s Black Employee Resource Group (ERG).

Through BOLD, Gwenna actively developed Accenture Canada’s pipeline for diverse talent while fostering a sense of community and inclusion for current Black employees. Prior to her exit, Gwenna founded the BOLD Student Mentorship Program (BSMP). Soon in its fourth iteration, BSMP has paired 100+ BIPOC-identifying post-secondary students with Accenture Canada employees for three months of mentorship, community, and holistic professional development.

Born in Edmonton, Alberta, Gwenna holds a Bachelor of Commerce with Distinction from the University of Alberta. Her written work can be found on ByBlacks, a top-ranked award-winning online magazine focused exclusively on telling Black Canadian stories, and Medium.

2022 Changemakers Award Recipient

Gwenna Kadima is a recipient of the Globe and Mail Report on Business magazine’s 2022 Changemakers award: an annual list of 50 emerging Canadian entrepreneurs, academics, and executives changing business today.

Gwenna was recognized for her ongoing efforts to address anti-black racism through her work at Accenture and as a BIPOC Career Activator.
